Free Career Bridging Program

Objectives
To facilitate internationally trained immigrants from IT professions to acquire the job-specific and workplace English language skills that will enable them to find and keep jobs in the fields for which they are qualified.

Jan 5th – April 25th , 20092 evenings/week & Saturday Morning

Training Contents:

1. Professional Communication in a Canadian Context:

100 hours of intensive classroom training in workplace and job-specific language-training terminology and how to apply it in written, spoken, and group presentation form。

2. Practice for the Canadian Workplace:

100 hours of group work on projects that incorporate the lessons of the first module into
practical demonstrations and exercises geared toward the IT workplace in Canada.

3. Professional Life in a Canadian Setting:

Supervised Placement: 100 hours of on-thejob training.


Eligibility-Training is free for eligible candidates
+New immigrants with permanent resident status or convention refugees
+English level at CLB 6 or above
+Internationally trained IT professionals, working or looking for jobs in IT sectors
+Childcare is available and bus tickets are provided to eligible participants.
+Practice IT workplace English
+Learn Canadian workplace culture
+Be part of Hands-on projects And placements
+Access job referrals and networking with employers
