The Coalition to Move Ottawa Forward is a coalition of community groups and networks formed to bring social issues to the fore of the election debate. Its priority issues areas are affordable transit, recreation, childcare and housing.
All told, the Coalition to Move Ottawa Forward serves around 150,000 Ottawans. A “coalition of coalitions”, the CMOF spans the social issue spectrum and carries active representation from:
§ The Alliance to End Homelessness
§ The City for All Women Initiative
§ The Coalition of Community Health and Resource Centres
§ Local Agencies Serving Immigrants
§ The Ottawa Coalition of Children and Youth
§ The Ottawa Social Housing Network
§ People for a Better Ottawa
Together, this network represents around 100 well-established and respected community groups and social service organizations.
